Kareem Brewton,a 6’3 top 25 juco guard out of Eastern Florida State has committed to play basketball for the University of Memphis Tigers next season. Brewton was being recruited by Ohio State, Illinois, and Gonzaga. He’s a two-time Southern Conference Player of The Year out of Florida. He averaged 20 points and 5 rebounds as a sophomore.

Via The Commercial Appeal, Point guard Chris Darrington (No. 13 in JUCO top 100) and 6-foot-7 forward Kyvon Davenport (No. 19) are also visiting campus as part of coach Tubby Smith’s late recruiting push to fill next year’s roster. Forward Raynere Thornton (No. 48) said he will be on campus April 14.
