The University of Memphis picked up a commitment from 6-foot-11 5-star big man Moussa Cisse, the consensus #1 center in the class of 2020, and the top shot blocker in all of high school basketball. Cisse will join a Memphis Tigers recruiting class that includes: juco transfer Ahmad Rand, Virginia Tech transfer Landers Nolley II, and Evansville transfer DeAndre Williams.
Cisse led Lausanne Collegiate School to the TSSAA Division 2 State Championship during a junior season where he averaged 18 points, 15 rebounds, and 9 blocks per game. He ultimately chose the Memphis Tigers over LSU, Georgetown, Georgia, Florida State, and Kentucky.
Following last years commitment of the nation’s top high school prospect James Wiseman, Memphians will now celebrate landing another big man, this time the defensive force who refers to himself as #BigAfrica. For more on the Memphis Tigers #staytuned
